MEET OUR PANELISTS

ALEX

LogicPrep College Advisor
Former UChicago Admissions Officer

During her undergraduate years at the University of Chicago, Alex explored classes in Statistics, Psychology, and Sociology on the path to earning her Bachelor's in Comparative Human Development. While at UChicago, she spent all four years working for the College Admissions Office as a tour guide and as Chair of the Multicultural Students Advisory Committee. After graduating, Alex went on to work at UChicago as an Admissions Counselor focusing on undergraduate applications from the Midwest and independent schools. Her time at UChicago was dedicated to helping build a diverse student body as a part of the Equity and Access Team and making the application process easier for families and students. She also went on to earn her Master's Degree at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.

Alex loves helping students tell their stories and supporting them in finding a college home that they will love for four years and beyond. Students who work with Alex can expect an organized, compassionate, and intentional process and coach.

CARI

Director of College Advising at LogicPrep
Former Colorado College Admissions Officer

Students and families working with Cari can expect a high-energy, supportive, and encouraging advisor; she will be your biggest cheerleader (seriously - she drumrolls when students submit their college applications!).

Cari first found her niche in the student advising world as a college access coach with College Possible in Milwaukee, WI, where she helped 36 underserved, first-generation students gain the acceptance and funding necessary to pursue higher education. She moved to Colorado in 2014 to run Multicultural Recruitment in the Colorado College Office of Admission, recruit students from across the country, and manage operations. She completed her time at Colorado College in the Career Center, after restructuring the Public Interest Fellowship Program and creating CC’s Nonprofit Initiatives where she was thrilled to have a foot in each of her favorite doors – nonprofits and higher education.

As a full-time education and nonprofit consultant, Cari enjoys analyzing the successes of students pursuing post-graduate careers, and uses this knowledge to support her approach to both college and career counseling.

Outside of work, Cari serves on nonprofit boards, is constantly trying to train her dog, captains an all-women’s Ultimate Frisbee team, and reads books at a similar speed to normal humans drinking water. She also volunteers her time advising underserved students through The Jesse Kolber Foundation.

MICAH

LogicPrep College Advisor
Former Vassar College Admissions Officer

Micah’s interest in college admissions began during his undergrad years at Haverford College, where he worked as a tour guide and interviewer all four years. He started his professional admissions career at Vassar College, where he worked for 7 years, primarily with students interested in art, music, and dance programs from the US and Latin America. He also served as Director of Transfer Admission.

After Vassar, Micah worked in Graduate Admissions at Emerson College and then moved to Boston University to lead the development of a new hospitality management graduate program. He now works with both undergraduate and graduate hospitality students at BU.

Micah is passionate about helping students find the right area of study so they can set up a path for later success. Students working with Micah can expect a collaborative and thoughtful experience.

In his free time, Micah is an avid woodworker and proud father to a very active toddler.
